Why ELT

Three reasons clients choose ELT

  • Fully customised anticipated questions

We design 15–20 questions from our proprietary database across three categories—Behavioral, Technical, and Cultural Fit—tailored to your target company, role, and interview stage.

  • Answer review by native interviewers

Native senior coaches review not only your English expression but also how you frame your conclusion, your STAR structure, and the balance of your three supporting points—across five dimensions. We conduct 1 to 3 rounds depending on your plan.

  • 3 recorded mock interviews

We conduct three 60-minute mock interviews (Executive adds one more). Standard and above include recordings plus written feedback reports, so you can review them as many times as you like.

Voice

Voices from clients who chose ELT

Following this service's launch in June 2026, we will add client testimonials over time. Below are cases of existing ELT students who succeeded in moving to a global company (some details have been altered to protect privacy).

  • Preparing for Behavioral questions on my own had reached its limits. Having the logic of my answers thoroughly honed in the mock interviews was the deciding factor in getting through the final interview.

Male, late 30s / Senior Manager at a global IT company

  • Having failed English interviews at two previous companies, ELT's feedback made it clear what had not been valued, and I received an offer at the third company.

Female, early 40s / Director at a global consulting firm

  • Being coached right down to the reverse-question strategy for the final interview as a Director candidate was the clincher. With precise advice on salary negotiation too, I received an offer above my target.

Male, late 40s / VP at a global manufacturer

FAQ

よくある質問

It lies in our heritage—founded in the UK in 1984—and in the fact that native senior coaches with recruitment, HR, and executive experience at global companies work with you directly. We provide a structured, end-to-end program from creating anticipated questions through to CV review.

All plans include three 50-minute mock interviews with native coaches, an initial consultation, anticipated question creation, answer review, and a written feedback report. Standard adds CV/Resume review, and Executive extends to cover letter review and LinkedIn optimisation.

Yes, you can. It is 30 minutes, on Zoom, with no hard sell whatsoever. There is no problem with simply considering it afterward and contacting us later.

Yes, this is available. In addition to lump-sum payment (card or bank transfer), we offer a three-instalment option (total increases by 10% including fees, starting with the first payment).

For clients who are serious about moving to a global company, we recommend Standard (¥298,000, tax included). It offers the best value, including a written feedback report, reviews, and CV review. For executives undergoing multiple selection processes in parallel, Executive (¥398,000, tax included) is ideal.

We are sorry, but we do not offer this. Because the value lies in the integrated program of anticipated question creation, review, mock interviews, and feedback, we offer it starting from the Essential plan.

They are conducted over Zoom for 50 minutes. A native interviewer plays the role of an interviewer from your target company and recreates the full flow—self-introduction, Behavioral, Technical, Cultural Fit, and reverse questions. For Standard and above, you can view the written feedback report from your account page.

Because we create them based on a database of over 5,000 hours of past coaching experience, tailored to your target company, industry, and role, a high hit rate can be expected. However, rather than memorisation, we emphasise mastering the framework of your answer logic.

After the free consultation, ELT will assign a coach according to your target industry, role, and preferences. Please let us know any requests for a specific coach at the time of the consultation (we may not be able to accommodate them due to scheduling).

As a rule, sessions are conducted online (Zoom). This format lets you connect with native coaches around the world. If you wish to meet in person at ELT's central school (Tokyo), please consult us separately (additional fees may apply).

We conduct a two-stage review. The first stage is a review of English expression and structure by a native coach; the second is improvement suggestions from an experienced recruiter's perspective, based on industry standards and what hiring managers look for. Rather than mere translation, we emphasise a structure that catches the recruiter's eye.

For Standard and Executive plans, after each mock interview a native senior coach evaluates you across five dimensions (logic, English expression, STAR structure, persuasiveness of your answers, and non-verbal elements) and delivers a written feedback report to your account page, generally within 1–2 business days. You can download it as many times as you like during the contract period (six months from the start of your program).

We cover the major global industries, including consulting, investment banking, PE, global manufacturers, global IT/SaaS, pharmaceuticals, MR, and global finance. For roles, we focus on Director/VP, Manager, and Senior Specialist, and can accommodate from IC to C-Suite.

We do not offer a pass guarantee. Because interview outcomes are influenced by external factors, we instead promise a 'quality guarantee on the work delivered' (full delivery of the specified number of sessions and reliable delivery of all materials).

We support virtually all global industries, including consulting, global investment banks, PE and VC, global manufacturers, global IT/SaaS (including FAANG), pharmaceuticals and medical devices, global finance and insurance, global consumer goods and retail, and the Japan branches of startups.

The program itself takes 3–8 weeks (depending on the plan). The time to actually receive an offer varies with your application status and selection process, but in past cases offers were commonly secured within 1–3 months after the program ended.

Individual company names are confidential to protect privacy, but we have a track record of interview preparation for the top five consulting firms, the major global investment banks, several leading global tech companies, and several major global pharmaceutical companies. Please ask for details during your consultation.

Ideally we recommend 4–6 weeks in advance, but intensive support as little as 2 weeks beforehand is also possible (for example, mock interviews twice a week). Urgent support depends on coach availability, so please consult us as early as possible.

Of course. Standard centres on a single company, while Executive is designed to support multiple companies. Your coach will flexibly accommodate new selection processes that arise during the program.

Cancellation before the first session begins: 50% refund of the initial fee. Cancellation after the start: a refund of the balance after deducting the equivalent of the fees for the sessions not yet taken. Please confirm the details in your contract.

Upgrades after signing (for example, Essential to Standard) are possible by paying the difference. Downgrades are, as a rule, not accepted. If you are unsure, please use our free consultation.

We can accommodate weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. We schedule with time differences in mind depending on the coach's location (UK, US, Australia, etc.). We prioritise securing weekday evening slots (after 21:00) and weekend morning slots.
