SUPPORT AREAS
What We Offer
ELT's current student support goes beyond admissions preparation to provide ongoing academic assistance. We deliver tailored one-to-one tutoring aligned with the curriculum and assignments at your child's school.
Homework & Assignment Support
We help with daily homework and assignments set in English. Whether your child does not understand the question, is unsure of the approach, or needs help structuring an answer, we address each issue to build the ability to work independently. Support covers all subjects including Maths, Science, and Humanities.
Essay & Report Writing
International schools require frequent submission of essays and reports. We provide thorough instruction in academic writing — from interpreting the topic and planning the structure, to presenting evidence and choosing appropriate expressions. We also support IB Extended Essays and Internal Assessments.
Exam Preparation & Revision
We provide structured revision and exam preparation for end-of-term tests and Mock Exams. Through organising key points for each subject, analysing past papers, and teaching effective revision techniques, we aim for strong exam performance.
Subject Selection & Academic Counselling
Subject choices for IGCSE, A-Level, or IB can significantly affect future university admissions. We provide advice on the optimal combination of subjects, taking into account your child's interests, strengths, and intended career path. Our experienced advisers also offer support for academic concerns and anxieties.
OUR APPROACH
ELT's Current Student Support
Fully Aligned with Your Child's School Curriculum
Whether your child follows IB, A-Level, IGCSE, AP, or a school-specific curriculum, a tutor who is well versed in the relevant programme delivers one-to-one instruction. We adapt flexibly to the pace of school lessons, supporting preview, review, and assignment completion.
Regular Progress Reviews and Plan Adjustments
Using termly reports and school feedback, we regularly review your child's academic progress. Progress towards goals is tracked visually, and the study plan is adjusted as necessary to maintain momentum.
Continuous Improvement of Academic English
Conversational English alone is not sufficient to keep pace with an international school curriculum. We continuously strengthen the English skills that directly underpin academic performance — subject-specific terminology, academic writing, and presentation skills.
Communication and Feedback for Parents
We provide regular updates to parents on lesson progress and academic performance. We also offer support with preparation for school parent-teacher conferences and advice on communication with the school.
