Online one-to-one tutoring for international & boarding school students: Campus Tutors

Tutors who have been through international curricula themselves, alongside your child's everyday learning

Campus Tutors is a one-to-one service that gives continuous support with understanding lessons day to day, how to approach homework, and planning revision. Vetted tutors work online, one to one, across IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, IB and AP, as well as the everyday lessons at international and boarding schools. The role is separate from that of our native professional tutors, who handle exam preparation and academic and career guidance, so families can choose either or combine the two according to what their child needs.

FOR WHOM

Who It's For

You want ongoing support for everyday study

We help your child deepen their understanding of school lessons and homework, and through one to three lessons a week, build a state in which revision and study planning carry on consistently.

Returnee and transfer students catching up

A teaching team that has walked the same path provides one-to-one support to build the foundations and study habits needed to keep pace with lessons taught in English.

You want to discuss how to plan and approach coursework

We support your child in understanding what an assignment requires, building a schedule, organising the knowledge they need and reviewing their work, so that they can take it on independently (we do not write or edit work for submission).

You want to start with everyday study

Begin by steadying everyday study, then switch to a professional tutor when intensive preparation is needed in the run-up to exams.

OUR TUTORS

About the Teaching Team

The Campus Tutors teaching team is made up primarily of current undergraduate and postgraduate students who have been through international curricula. At present, our main recruitment channel is students registered with Jelper Club, a fully vetted platform, and ELT selects the tutors for this service from among them. In future, tutors chosen through channels other than Jelper Club may also join the team.

About 3 in 4

Of all Jelper Club registered students, those at a university ranked in the world top 100

The figure above shows the composition of all Jelper Club registered students (Jelper Club's own data, as of September 2025), and does not represent the composition of the tutors assigned to this service. Tutors for this service may also be selected through channels other than Jelper Club. The universities referred to are not involved in operating, partnering with, endorsing or guaranteeing this service. Out of consideration for students who are still studying or job-hunting, we do not publish information identifying individual tutors, such as names or photographs.

OUR APPROACH

How the Support Works

1

Individual tuition aligned to the school's curriculum

We go through the requirements of the materials and assignments used at your child's school together, and teach one to one in 50-minute sessions. Rather than generic materials, we work on content aligned to understanding their daily lessons and planning their revision.

2

Support from a mentor's perspective

The teaching team has experienced the same exams and curricula in recent years. Drawing on that experience, they share concretely where students tend to struggle and how to structure their study.

3

Building lasting study habits

Through consistent lessons 1 to 3 times a week, we support the development of study habits themselves — how to approach homework and how to revise.

4

Stepping up to a professional tutor when needed

When final exam preparation, guidance on future pathways, or advanced support such as the IA or EE becomes necessary, we connect you smoothly to our native professional tutor tier.

Academic integrity

This service supports explanation of lesson content, checking what an assignment requires, drawing up a study plan, organising ideas, and review. We do not provide support that breaches the rules of your child's school or the awarding bodies — this includes ghost-writing work or answers for submission, producing answers, and improperly adding to or editing work that will be assessed. Where the permitted scope is unclear, we check the school's own rules first and proceed on that basis.

As a rule, we keep the same tutor so they can support your child consistently over time. If a change would be a better fit in terms of rapport or scheduling, we are happy to discuss arranging one.

Lessons are delivered online, so your child can take them from anywhere in the world. We adjust to your preferred times, and for regions in different time zones we are happy to discuss which slots work best for you.

Campus Tutors support everyday learning — understanding lesson content, how to approach homework and how to plan coursework — while native professional tutors handle pre-exam preparation, guidance on future pathways, and advanced support such as the IA or EE. You can choose the right one for each phase of learning and combine them as needed.

Yes. As your child's learning progresses, you are welcome to discuss changing your plan or combining lessons with a professional tutor.

We cover IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, IB and AP, as well as the day-to-day lessons at each school. This spans a wide range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science and Humanities.

Campus Tutors support understanding of lesson content, how to approach homework, and planning coursework. We do not provide support that breaches the Academic Integrity policies of your child's school or the awarding bodies — this includes ghost-writing work or answers for submission, providing answers themselves, and adding to or editing work that will be graded. The aim is for your child to become able to tackle the work themselves.

An enrollment fee of $199 applies to all plans. Residents of Japan are on a monthly plan; residents overseas are on USD packages, and each package has a validity period. Payment for overseas packages is arranged individually after you enquire (we do not offer instant online payment). For details on validity periods and refunds, please see our Terms of Service.

Households currently subscribed to an ELT professional-tutor plan (such as Academic Premium) or to an admissions support package can use the Campus Tutors monthly plans for residents of Japan at 15% off, under our existing-client benefit. Households that have completed an admissions support package are also eligible for a limited period. Once the qualifying plan is cancelled, standard pricing applies from the following month. The USD packages for residents overseas are not eligible. We confirm whether the benefit applies at your free consultation and again at billing.

Each lesson is a 50-minute one-to-one session. We will explain the terms and conditions for rescheduling in detail during your consultation.

Because the teaching team centres on current students, a change of tutor may occasionally arise through graduation or a change of career path. We have arrangements in place to hand over learning records and the teaching approach, so that continuity of learning is maintained when a change occurs.
